ABOUT THE FILM

A closer look.

This short factory clip shows the KRD-30 and KRJ-40 bagged bitumen melting machine in real operation. Watch how packaged bitumen in 25–50 kg bags, 1-ton ton bags and 20-ton flexible container bags is fed into the melting chamber, heated by the composite thermal-oil system, and discharged continuously without stopping production.

What the video shows

The KRD-30 handles small bags and ton bags at a feeding rate of 2–5 t/h, while the larger KRJ-40 is built for 20-ton container bags at 5–6 t/h. Both units use the same hot-cutting technology: bulk cold bitumen is sliced into smaller pieces inside the chamber, which multiplies the heated surface area and speeds up melting without raising the chamber temperature high enough to age the binder.

The composite heating design combines a thermal-oil constant-speed circuit with a direct rapid-heating circuit, each controlled independently. The thermal-oil side holds the bitumen below the ageing critical point, while the direct-heating side delivers fast temperature rise when throughput demand peaks. High-low double oil outlets allow feeding and discharging at the same time, so downstream batching or emulsification lines receive a steady flow rather than a batch pulse.

The series handles packaged asphalt, imported asphalt, colour asphalt and special grades, so it fits standard road construction, coloured pavement and emulsification plant feed lines. The thermal oil circuit is the key routine maintenance item: oil level and quality should be checked regularly, because degraded oil transfers heat less efficiently and shows up first as longer melting time at unchanged settings. Both models work stand-alone or in parallel, and a modest utility-model patent covers the fast-melting arrangement.

Every machine is assembled and factory-tested at the LIJIU works in Dezhou, China, and shipped FOB Qingdao.
